Protected: The Ballaghmore Lock, County Laoise

Ballaghmore Castle, near Borris-in-Ossory, County Laoise, was a five-storey tower house built in 1480 by MacGiollaphadraig (now Fitzpatrick), a Gaelic chieftain. The castle became a granary for a while but was restored as a private residence in 1990.
